So, just posting some pics of the new studio. So much to clean! Worked on it a bit tonight, more pics of the finished product this week.

Ok, so I’m watching Resident Evil and looking up more lookbooks on the web on this dark and gloomy day. Resident Evil is scaring the beejeesus out of me. But I just found 22 Design Studio’s concrete jewelry press release. This has tempered the fear.
Interesting concept. I like the finger size rings. I’ve never tried on a concrete ring but….is that comfortable? I feel like it would abrade the skin but no clue. The materials costs are low though. I bet it’s fun to mix the concrete too. I keep imagining a mini-concrete mixer.
Back to my lookbook, Resident Evil, and some jewelry polishing!
Ack, I’ve been working so much recently although I have not touched any metal or gotten to set things on fire
In speaking with galleries and stores, it has become apparent to me that I need a lookbook with pictures of my work with retail and wholesale prices to send to the buyers. I have spent five days on this and it’s still not done. I set up a whole excel spreadsheet to calculate the price of metal, how that relates to each piece I make, and the time involved with each piece to calculate the final retail and wholesale prices. Phew!
My next challenge is pictures. My sis showed me how to take some easy pictures and how to color-correct them. Exciting. That’s what my project is for tomorrow morning.
After that, everything gets sent to my lovely graphic design buddy who has graciously accepted some jewelry barter for creating the lookbook. Crossing fingers! More updates later.
The research I did on lookbooks:
